Aurora. She has been part of our preschool, in one way or another, since 2001. Her own two children attended First Presbyterian Preschool. As a parent, she served on the Preschool Board and taught Music with Mar classes at First Presbyterian Preschool for six years. In 2008, she was hired as a teacher in the Sunshine Room. Since then, she has had the opportunity to teach our 3, 4, and 5-year-olds. Prior to preschool, Liz was an elementary school teacher, Reading Specialist, and was in Staff Development. Her bachelor’s degree is in Psychology, and she is certified in Elementary Education, K-6. Her Master’s Degree is in the Teaching of Reading, Nursery -12. Liz has extensive training in early literacy, including Reading Recovery. Liz was hired as Preschool Director in 2019 and currently serves as director and also teaches the 4/5 class. My name is Ellen Metz and I’m so excited to be here at FPP! My husband and I moved here to Marilla last June to be closer to two of our four kids, and his family. Brian is our oldest and is a pilot with Delta Airlines, Kelly lives outside Charlotte, NC with her husband and works for the Charlotte Parks Department. Erin and Emily are twins. Erin and her husband live in Hamburg. She teaches French at the Amherst Middle School, and Emily works for Citi as an Assistant Vice Manager. I am so happy to become part of the FPP family. Prior to our move, I spent 17 years teaching 3- and 4-year-old children at Cornerstone Christian Preschool in OH. I’ve also taught in NYC, NJ, PA, and had a home daycare when we lived in TX. My name is Amanda and I am a mama, wife and educator. I have over 15+ years teaching experience in K-12 French Language/Classroom Management/Administration in New York and Georgia.
