Our Story

First Presbyterian Preschool has been a cherished part of the East Aurora community since 1962. As a non-profit, non-denominational early childhood program, we welcome children ages 3–5 into a warm, nurturing environment where every child is seen, celebrated, and supported.

We are proud to be a mission of the First Presbyterian Church of East Aurora — nestled in the big white church right across from the library — and we carry that spirit of care and community into everything we do.

Empowering students for a brighter future through child-centered learning by nurturing the whole child — socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually.

What We Believe

Every child arrives with a unique story, and it's our joy to help that story grow. Our program is thoughtfully designed to support the whole child by fostering social connection, physical development, emotional well-being, intellectual curiosity, and spiritual grounding (SPIES) — building confidence, developing foundational skills, and preparing each child to thrive. Our teachers model kindness, respect, and Christian values through both example and everyday connection.

Our Classrooms

• Sunshine Room — Our 3-year-old class meets Tuesday & Thursday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM with a FLEX day of Wednesday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.

• Star Room — Our 4/5-year-old class meets Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9:00 AM –12:00 PM with FLEX days of Monday and/or Friday 9:00 AM -12:00 PM

• Bright Beginnings Playgroup — A drop-in playgroup for younger children, Wednesdays 9:00–10:30 AM, $10 per family!

Meet Our Team

Our staff brings together diverse backgrounds in Early Literacy, Early Intervention, and child development — and we're all moms ourselves. That shared experience gives us a genuine empathy for the families we serve and a deep commitment to the children in our care

Safety

The safety of your children is our highest priority. All exterior doors are locked during preschool hours. Entry is available through two monitored entrances with camera surveillance, where visitors are buzzed in by the church secretary. Children are released only to parents or pre-authorized adults listed in writing with our teachers.

Drop-off begins at 9:00 AM. Please bring your child directly to the classroom and be prompt at pickup. We follow East Aurora Public Schools for all emergency closings and weather-related delays — check local news for updates.
